Arkadia Shopping Mall Warsaw – A definite Recommendation

February 13, 2015

Operated by Unibail -Rodamco, and covering 287,000 square meters of space, our next stop was the Arkadia Shopping Mall of Warsaw. Claiming to be the largest shopping complex in Central Europe, it houses Carrefour, EMPiK, Leroy Merlin, Saturn, Cinema City, Euro RTV AGD, H&M, Zara and many more wonderful and worth a visit stores.

A taxi ride is always feasible to and fro this wondrous modern structure and so is taking one of those 10 tram lines available. Also, there are about 15 bus routes and a parking for 4000 vehicles.

Just after the afternoon walk in the old market place, the Arkadia’s air conditioned ambience is the best rejuvenator and a break from the trans-charm. Huge was the first thing that came to my mind. And mind it, you have everything you can think of. The shops are a heaven for shopaholics. And I’m sure a woman would go crazy after the lovely heels displayed. Then came the general fast food chains and food stores, oh yeah, my eyes rest there!

Everything was clean, well placed, organized. The mall in itself is not as huge as the ones in America, but yeah, it’s the largest in Poland. The monstrous five floor mall would drain you of your energy if you are not careful with your shoes! Receiving over 45,000 visitors a day, the mall boasts of a 15 screen multiplex.

As mentioned before, we strolled through the fashion marts of Lacoste, Peek and Cloppenburg, Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, Esprit, Kappahal…the list is never ending. My personal favorite turned out to be the Bierhalle microbrewery. A perfect American Bookstore takes care of your English needs of literature and the EMPiK of the foreign press. All in all, the building has everything! Very rightly said it is, “If you can’t find it here, you won’t find it ever!”

By the end of the tour, we were completely exhausted and after taking a bite to satisfy our tummies, we took a taxi back to our hotel. One thing we were sure of while leaving the mall, we didn’t wish to do so!
